This is a private recording of a live performance. On J For Jazz 805 (an LP with very low production values), "Dolphin Dance" is called "Chetmania" and "Donna Lee" is called "Woodspile." Bob Mover is not credited anywhere on this LP and does not appear on the other tracks which feature Phil Woods. All the Baker tracks (incomplete) appear on side B of the LP. Track B-1 begins with the Woods quartet playing All the Things You Are which merges into the Baker quintet playing Dolphin Dance followed by For Miles and Miles (which track is never mentioned anywhere on the LP).The latter overlaps into B-2 and then becomes Donna Lee. The information on this session comes from the Lerfeldt/Sjogren Chet Baker discography which incorrectly lists track b as "Resonant Emotions" (thanks to Peter Mansell).

These live performances were recorded on video by the Dutch Jazz Archive and on audio tape by Chet Baker historian Jeroen De Valk who provided the information on this session (thanks also to Joop van der Leij). The bassist was a last minute substitute for Rocky Knauer whose identity has not been definitively confirmed. At the beginning of the concert, Baker introduces him as "Paul Whitten" who is a bassist from the United Kingdom. But at the break, Baker identifies him as what sounds like "Paul Wither." No bassist with a name like this has been found so I am assuming that the bassist is Whitten. The track timings differ from those given in Sjogren's Chet Baker Discography. On track g, Baker plays piano (with only his right hand) and Stilo plays acoustic guitar.
