Unrecorded Gryce Tunes: The following information was obtained through further examination of copyright depositions stored at the Library of Congress.

Minor Talk (©1957, Melotone Music); Note: This composition is a new discovery and not listed in Appendix A.

Bananas (p.361) - Year of copyright should read 1956.

Clock Work (p. 361) - As noted above, this tune was, in fact, recorded but misnamed in discographies and on the only issue.

Edthia 1968 (p. 362) - Should read Fathia 1967 (see below).

Dancing the Gigi (p. 362) is also titled Strange Feelin' but this is not the song of the latter title recorded in 1960 on the LP The Rat Race Blues. So the mystery surrounding the origin of the recorded piece (composer credit "Sam Finch") continues. A one-sided, 12-inch acetate disc containing a Gryce performance of Dancing the Gigi was sold on eBay on September 27, 2004. The disc reportedly came from the collection of Peri Cousins and Bill Evans and was meant by Gryce to be issued as one side of a 45-RPM single on "Gigi Records." As far as we have been able to determine, this label never materialized and if it did, never issued anything.

Latin, The (p. 363) - Year of copyright should read 1956.

Junior's Bounce 1968 (p. 363) - Should read Junior Bounce 1957.

Now That I Found You (p.363) - This is a 32 bar song in the key of Eb, with an AABA structure.

A folio named "Song Booklet - Six Selections Seasonal and Relative" was copyrighted in1967 and contains the following 6 titles all composed by "Basheer Qusim, Esq.":
Rajab
Sha'ban
Ramadan
Fathia (Note: probably the name Gryce had planned for his daughter Lynette)
Bilil Muhammad (Note: Gryce's baby son who did not survive)
Wolf Talk (Note: first copyrighted in 1955 and recorded in 1956)

A folio named "Musical Themes for Use In 'A Study In Improvisation' As Well As for Individual Use" was copyrighted in 1968 and contains the following 8 titles, some of which appear in Appendix A (p. 364) where they are erroneously listed as dating from 1977:
Break! Break!
Seven Senses (Note: This is a melody with the chords of Embraceable You.)
Improvised Solo On Theme Seven Senses - Solo by Basheer Qusim (Note: This is Gryce's solo transcribed from the 1955 "play-along" recording of Embraceable You on Signal 101.)
Brown! Brown! Brown! - Improvised by Basheer Qusim
Reflection - Improvised by Basheer Qusim
Know! No! - Improvised by Basheer Qusim
Down! Up! - Improvised by Basheer Qusim
Scuffle! Scuffle! - Improvised by Basheer Qusim
